CA Is The Most Expensive State To Get Divorced

Divorce is rarely cheap, but in California, it's particularly expensive.

California is the most expensive state to get divorced, according to a recent ranking by Forbes Advisor.

“No matter what kind of divorce you’re facing, you may be surprised to know that one of the biggest factors in the cost of divorce is where you live,” the publication reported.

The ranking was determined using weighted metrics for factors including divorce filing fees, average lawyer wages, costs of living and estimated divorce costs as a percent of the median income for a married household, according to Forbes Advisor.
