Elderly CA Couple Caught With Pot Says It's A Christmas Present
The couple was caught in Nebraska with 60 pounds of marijuana, officials said.

CALIFORNIA -- An elderly California couple who was caught with 60 pounds of marijuana said it was a Christmas present. Patrick Jiron, 80, and Barbara Jiron, 70, of Clearlake Oaks were caught with the drug this week in Nebraska, the York County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies apparently found the marijuana during a traffic stop in York County. Officials said the hefty load was worth $336,000.
In response to the discovery, the couple told deputies the marijuana was meant to be Christmas presents.

Both suspects remain in custody at the York County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver.
