EVs Leasing For Under $100 Per Month At Some Dealerships: Report
There are a few reasons for the low prices, according to Bloomberg.
Shoppers in the market for a new car can find electric vehicles available for under $100 per month at some dealerships, Bloomberg recently reported.
On average, EVs are cheaper to lease than gas cars, according to the outlet, citing Edmunds.com, at $624 per month compared to $670.
The low prices are due in part to federal tax credits as high as $7,500 per transaction, which are set to end late next month, paired with a push to clear out vehicles ahead of next year’s offerings, Bloomberg reported.

“I always hate to say ‘it’s unprecedented’ with the auto industry, but we’ve never really seen anything like this,” Kevin Roberts, CarGurus’ director of industry analytics, told Bloomberg.
Honda is offering the Prologue at $200 per month for two years and Hyundai is offering the Ioniq 5 at $260 monthly after a down payment, the outlet reported.
