Cops Seize $100K In Stolen Coffee From West Suburban Warehouse: Sheriff
Police discovered about 24,000 pounds of stolen Wawa coffee products inside the warehouse at a distribution center.

MELROSE PARK, IL — Following a tip, the Cook County Sheriff's Office discovered 24,000 pounds of stolen Wawa coffee products being stored at a local warehouse. The stolen coffee from the convenience store chain is valued at more than $100,000.
Wawa, a convenience store chain headquartered in Pennsylvania, has no locations in Illinois.
Police received information about the illegal activity on Monday, and entered the warehouse with consent of the distribution company. Investigators learned the items had been taken from a facility in Whiteside County in May.

No arrests have been announced yet, but a retail organized crime investigation is "brewing," the sheriff's office said.
The CCSO's organized retail crime division includes a tech unit, out-of-state fugitive extraditions, as well as narcotics investigations and intelligence, the organized crime unit and the gun suppression team.
