Final CA Inflation Relief Payments To Arrive In Mailboxes

Thousands of Californians are still due payments of up to $1,050 from the Middle Class Tax Refund that rolled out last October.

CALIFORNIA — Thousands of Californians are in for a welcome surprise this month as the last inflation relief payments arrive in bank accounts and mailboxes.

The Middle Class Tax Refund was approved as part of the 2022-2023 budget surplus, guaranteeing payments ranging from $200 to $1,050 to qualified taxpayers in the Golden State. Most of the payments went out via direct deposit or preloaded debit cards between last October and January, but some payouts are still due.

According to KTLA, the Franchise Tax Board is still working through approximately 5,000 payments, and officials expect to have them processed by the end of this month.
