First Responders Ski For Free At These CA Resorts

Active firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians will have access to a complimentary lift ticket two days a week.

CALIFORNIA — Big Bear Mountain Resort, Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain are offering first responders the chance to ski for free with a special offer called Heroes on the Slopes.

“We deeply appreciate your tireless efforts and heroism, especially in the wake of the LA fires,” Big Bear Mountain Resort said in an announcement on its website. “Your dedication to our safety deserves to be celebrated, and we hope this offer allows you to take some well-deserved time on the slopes.”

All active U.S., Mexico and Canada firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians will have access to a complimentary lift ticket every Tuesday and Wednesday through the end of the current winter season. To redeem a ticket, first responders should bring their badge and driver’s license or identification card to any ticket window.
