Gene Simmons Postpones West Coast Tour For Unexplained Reasons

The former bass guitarist and co-founder of Kiss fame delayed 17 scheduled appearances through May.

CALIFORNIA — It's official. Bass guitarist and singer Gene Simmons, 75, has postponed all West Coast tour dates for the Gene Simmons Band 2025 tour.

The former bass guitarist and co-founder of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band Kiss will return to the stage in May to open this concert series in Georgia, band spokesperson Christina Vitagliano shared on Facebook.

Though no reason was given for the change in tour plans, Vitagliano wrote on Facebook: "Yes, GS is ok; nothing wrong health-wise!"

Simmons's planned California performances, including a SoCal stop at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, an appearance at the Anaheim House of Blues, and a Bay Area stop in Rohnert Park, were delayed until 2026. Shows in Washington, Utah, Colorado, and Florida were also postponed.

"If you bought tickets, you will get a refund from wherever you purchased the tickets," Vitagliano, who describes herself as the doer of stuff for The God of Thunder on Facebook, said. "If you bought a bass experience, email me, and I will refund your experience unless you want to move to another date. Super simple!"

The Gene Simmons bass experience priced from $6,500 to $12,500, included an exclusive meet-and-greet with Simmons, a signed bass guitar and case, and the chance for photos and videos for up to four people. "You will find that Gene Simmons is very down-to-earth, funny, and knowledgeable on almost any subject."
