MORRO BAY, CA — When it comes to celebrating Halloween, small towns like California's Morro Bay are a great place to revel in the spooky season.

In her "20+ Best Small Towns for Celebrating Halloween," HGTV's Lynn Coulter says Morro Bay is a festive destination for its annual Witches and Warlocks Paddle.

This is the event's 13th magical year at the seaside city, which is about 12 miles north of San Luis Obispo. This year's event takes place on Oct. 25.
