In a video taken from his hospital bed, Dailey explained he got lost on a trail that eventually destroyed his truck, which he used for shelter, KFSN reported, adding Dailey had two weeks' worth of food.
After several days at roughly 10,000 feet, he decided to move to a lower elevation, but fell and lost his phone on the way down, according to KFSN.
