In-N-Out Ranked Among Best Places To Work By Glassdoor

IRVINE, CA — In-N-Out is popular among diners and workers alike, according to a recent Glassdoor ranking that named the Golden State fast food chain among the best places to work in 2024.

“This year was a whirlwind,” the employment website said in its introduction of the rankings. “But the labor market’s resilience has kept larger storms at bay, and the rise of Gen Z has many employers rethinking their compensation, flexibility and company culture.”

In-N-Out — which is based in Irvine and has about 250 locations, mainly in California — came in sixth on the list, with employees rating its culture and values, diversity and inclusion, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, and senior management all above 4 out of 5.

According to Glassdoor, 86 percent of reviewers would recommend In-N-Out to a friend and 92 percent approve of its CEO.

In-N-Out was far from the only California company to get a high ranking on the list. Computer hardware development business Nvidia was second and ServiceNow, Procore Technologies and VMware — all enterprise software and network solutions providers — were third, fifth and seventh, respectively.

Silicon Valley titans Google and Apple ranked 26th and 39th, while Meta did not make the list. Coming in at No. 1 was Boston-based consultant Bain & Co.
