Oregon Teen 'Sexually Corrupted' By Eureka Man: Police
Jeramey Walkley, 40, allegedly tricked a 15-year-old Portland high school girl into engaging in sexually explicit conduct last summer.

PORTLAND, OR — A 40-year-old man from Eureka, California, who reportedly posed as a Portland area high school student now faces felony charges in Multnomah County for allegedly convincing a 15-year-old Portland girl to send him sexually explicit pictures of herself last summer.
Jeramey Todd Walkley is currently lodged at Multnomah County Jail on numerous counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of luring a minor, and one count of online sexual corruption of a child. His bail is set at more than $1 million.
According to an affidavit in support of an arrest warrant, filed on May 7, 2018, in Multnomah County, Walkley contacted the minor victim through multiple Twitter accounts in August 2017 while pretending to be the girl's Portland-based classmates.

During their communication with each other, Walkley allegedly convinced the girl to send lewd photos and conduct sexually explicit, publicly accessible live-streamed video via the Live.me platform online. Walkley at different times had the girl convinced he was at least two different boys with whom the girl went to school.
Appearing demanding and coercive in transcripts of their text conversations, Walkley, according to the affidavit, threatened to share the pictures and videos he'd been sent when the girl intimated she wanted to stop engaging in the sexually charged communication.

Still thinking Walkley was a student with whom she attended school, but now overwhelmed by the scandal, the victim reportedly confessed everything to her mother.
The victim's mother then confronted the family of the boy who was thought responsible for the messages and extortion — only to learn the boy had no knowledge of any of it and was clearly not involved.
Turning to police, the mother and the victim provided investigators with everything they had related to the situation.
Using those materials, a Portland detective assigned to the Bureau's Child Abuse Team investigated the Twitter accounts Walkley was using as well as the text conversations Walkley had with the girl over the course of several days in August — noting the pair exchanged at least 378 SMS messages between Aug. 26 and Aug. 29, though the detective believed the communication had been going before those dates.
Using warrants to pinpoint the area where Walkley's Twitter account was being accessed, investigators reportedly learned the girl was sharing the sexually explicit material with a 40-year-old Californian man.
Partnering with Eureka law enforcement, Portland detectives arrested Walkley and transported him back to Oregon, where he was lodged in Multnomah County on June 21.
On Monday, Walkley appeared before Judge Shelley D. Russell and pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. Walkley's next court date is Aug. 6.
