STOCKTON, CA — A rapper who was targeted in the Stockton birthday-party massacre that left one adult and three children dead is now in hiding and fearing for his life after he and his wife were wounded, his father told the New York Post.

MBNel, whose real name is Johnel Dongon, was among the 15 people shot during a friend’s 2-year-old daughter’s birthday celebration at Monkey Space, a Stockton banquet hall, on Saturday evening, his dad, Junior Dongon, told the Post.

“He just came to drop off a present at his friend’s party, whose daughter was the celebrant,” Dongon said.

“He was shot, but he is OK. … He called me and said, ‘Don’t say anything to anybody.'"

The San Joaquin County sheriff pleaded with the public for help finding the shooters who killed four — including three children — and injured 11 at the child's birthday party Saturday evening in Stockton.

The shooting occurred shortly before 6 p.m. at a banquet hall, where 100 or more were gathered, near the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue, according to Sheriff Patrick Withrow. The slain were 8, 9, 14 and 21 years old, and at least one of the survivors is in critical condition, Withrow said at a Sunday afternoon press conference streamed live by ABC10.

"These animals walked in and shot children at a children's birthday party," Withrow said. "If you know anything about this, you have to come forward and tell us what you know."
