These 4 CA Michelin Star Restaurants Are 'Worth The Drive': Ranking
The top-ranked destination is 150 miles north of San Francisco.
CALIFORNIA — If you’re on the hunt for a good meal and a scenic view, these four California restaurants offer the potential for both.
Car rental company Sixt recently compiled a ranking of Michelin star restaurants that are “worth the drive,” with four Golden State spots cracking the top ten.
“We’ve discovered the most remote foodie destinations in the U.S. that you can only get to by car (and trust us, they’re worth the journey!),” according to Sixt.

Coming in first on the list is the Harbor House Inn in Elk, which boasts two Michelin stars and breathtaking scenery along the Mendocino coastline, according to Sixt. Harbor House Inn is 150 miles north of San Francisco.
In fourth place is Maligne in Seaside, a Bib Gourmand eatery with seafood and backyard seating that offers the opportunity for a roughly 70-mile partially coastal drive from San Jose, the website said.

In fifth is Kenzo, a Japanese restaurant with one Michelin star serving sushi in Napa, about an hour outside San Francisco, according to Sixt.
Rounding out the top ten in tenth place is Mentone in Aptos, a Bib Gourmand-rated French eatery less than an hour from San Jose, the website said.
