A former principal of a California school is facing charges of cruelty after video footage showed him pushing a student to the ground.
CALIFORNIA — The ex-principal of a Central California elementary school is facing charges of cruelty to a minor after video footage showed him shoving a special needs student to the ground, Fox News reported.
The video showed Brian Vollhardt, formerly of Wolters Elementary School in Fresno, violently pushing an upset young student to the ground.
After the school district initiated a process to discipline Vollhardt, he reportedly resigned.

The incident was reported to both police and Child Protective Services by the district, Fox News reported.
