Wetzel's Pretzels Is Giving Away Free Pretzels On Friday

CALIFORNIA — As part of National Pretzel Day on Friday, Wetzel's Pretzels is celebrating by giving away pretzels completely for free — with no strings attached.

Wetzel's will give away one free Original Pretzel per person at all participating locations nationwide Friday from 3 p.m. to close. No purchase is necessary to take part in the promotion from the Pasadena-based chain, which serves hot-from-the-oven soft pretzels.

Since opening their first location in Redondo Beach three decades ago, Wetzel's now has 400 locations across the globe, including stores up and down California.

“There’s no better way to celebrate 30 years than our favorite day, National Wetzel Day, allowing us to give back to our beloved fans who are the reason for our storied journey,” Wetzel’s Hillary Frei said. “From our small roots as a tiny SoCal pretzel shop way back in 1994 to where Wetzel’s has gone, it’s remarkable, and we want all of our fans to join us in celebrating our birthday all year long. Wetz Party!”

Wetzel's is also holding a sweepstakes where customers can enter for a chance to win an appearance from a Wetzel's food truck at their next birthday party. Another promotion will see five fans win free pretzels for a year.
