40 Facts For 40 Years: Agoura Hills Celebrates Anniversary

AGOURA HILLS, CA — To commemorate its 40th anniversary, the city of Agoura Hills will revisit old city moments and fun facts throughout the year.

The city started sharing "40 facts for 40 years" in city council meetings and on social media at the start of the year.

Here's a look at some of the facts the city has shared for the anniversary year.

Exotic Dancers At Wood Ranch?

The Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill located at 5050 Cornell Road lived many lives. Right around the time of incorporation, the beloved restaurant was a nightclub that hosted topless mud wrestling and "exotic dancers," mayor Deborah Klein Lopez said.

The space was turned into a dance club for kids under 21 before it became Wood Ranch, Lopez said.

A Lake Lindero Steal

The city shared a picture of a 1969 sign boasting home sales in Lake Lindero for $26,750. The price tag is quite a steal considering the median price for a home in Lake Lindero today is $930,250, according to the city.
