Where to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

The local community center and four restaurants are hosting annual St. Patrick's Day celebrations this week.

Patch offers five suggestions for planning a fun St. Paddy's Day.

Ladyface leprechauns will turn your magically-delicious beer green, if you desire. We’ll have a strolling fiddler in the afternoon and an evening of Irish music and folk songs with The High Field. Chef Adam O’Fritz will be making a house-brined, nitrate-free corned beef Reuben sandwiches for lunch, as well as his crack (Irish slang for tremendously enjoyable) version of traditional corned beef and cabbage for dinner.

Brendan's Irish Pub & Restaurant

The Lab has a big celebration planned. Irish Car Bombs will be plentiful and their After Midnight Moo Milk Stout will be flowing generously. There will also be live music provided by The Acoustic Saints who will be performing a very special Celtic set. Band starts at 9 p.m. but the restaurant advises to there early to save your spot.

The world's leading U2 tribute band takes the stage for a special St. Patrick's Day Celebration with an opening set by local singing sensation Kimberly Dawn. The restaurant will be serving green beer and $4 corned beef and cabbage sandwiches. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $19.50. Call for reservations.

Beginning at 11 a.m., the community center is hosting a free all-day celebration featuring a performance by the band Innisfree as well as entertainment by Claddagh School of Irish Dancers. And for those who would like to squeeze in a work out during the festivities, the center's rock climbing wall, basketball courts and fitness center are free to use throughout the day.
