April 15: Carnival at Willow; Chatsworth Preserve Open to Public

2. Jr. Variety Kids 4 Kids Carnival at Willow

Jr. Variety will hold its annual at from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature carnival games, prizes, Zoom Go-Karts, inflatable rides, chair swing ride, face painting and more.This is the perfect chance for families to spend a day of fun together while helping kids in need. Admission is free.

3. Discovery Center Tinkering Zone

Hours of fun for ages 5 and up at 43 W Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks. Learn by doing and have a blast while you think, build and create. Build a scribbling robot, create your own mechanical toy from cardboard, design, build and test your own flying objects in our wind tube. 4. Farmers Market

Pick up fresh produce for all your recipes. The Agoura Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5835 Kanan Rd.

5. Earth Day Celebration at the Chatsworth Nature Preserve

This is the one day a year the public can visit.The opening of the Plummer Street gate from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, is sponsored by the Endangered Species and Wildlife Committee of the Sierra Club and the Canada Goose Project. Two docent-led tours will be available in a small portion of the site, which is roughly between Plummer and Roscoe Boulevards and between Valley Circle and Topanga Canyon Boulevards. The tours usually include Ecology Lake and native plants and birds that inhabit the area. The Chatsworth Nature Preserve can be entered Sunday at the intersection of Plummer Street and Valley View Circle Boulevard.
