Become a Member of the Planning Commission

Think you have what it takes to be on the Agoura Hills Planning Commission? The City is currently accepting applications from the community for this 5-member position.

The term of the current members will expire January 11, 2012. Any resident interested in being considered for appointment to the Planning Commission should submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011.

The Planning Commission meets on the first and third Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. and meetings are held at . They are open to the public and residents are encouraged to address the Commission on matters of importance.

Applicants must be residents of the City of Agoura Hills and submit a completed Planning Commission Application (click here) by the deadline.

Following the deadline, each City Councilmember will review and appoint a Planning Commissioner. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation, and appointments will be ratified at the January 11, 2012 Regular City Council meeting. Director of Planning and Community Development Mike Kamino will host an orientation for the new Planning Commissioners in mid January. The newly appointed Planning Commissioners will be sworn in at the regular Planning Commission meeting of January 19, 2012 for a two-year term ending in January 2014.
