Caught Speeding: Authorities Stop Speeding Driver On Kanan
Authorities stopped a driver going over 70 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone in Agoura Hills.
AGOURA HILLS, CA — Authorities stopped a driver on Thursday for going over 70 miles per hour on Kanan Road, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Lost Hills station.
Deputies arrested the driver on a reckless driving charge and cited the driver for speeding, crossing over a divided highway and unlicensed driving.
The driver was going over 70 miles per hour in an area with a 55 miles per hour speed limit. The driver was driving southbound but passing cars in the northbound lane, authorities said.

The arrest comes as residents have expressed concern about speeding on canyon roads, authorities said.
"Our motor deputies have many traffic responsibilities throughout their day, such as enforcing laws in school zones, high traffic areas and our beloved canyons. Rest assured our motor deputies are out there with your safety in mind," the station said in a Facebook post.
