The school is listed at 1,022nd in the list, which also notes that it is above the national average in terms of the "college readiness" of its students.
To determine the ranks, the publication analyzed 21,776 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia.

The figure is based on the number of students passing their AP examinations. Schools in the list are measured against a number of other factors, including reading and math test score results and the performance of the school's least-advantaged students.
Agoura High School is ranked 198th within California, according to the report.
