Dec. 1: High Winds, World AIDS Day

1. The Forecast: Sunny, Windy, 65

It will be sunny and windy with a high near 65, according to the National Weather Service. Winds will be out of the north northeast at around 30 mph with gusts as high as 40 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy and windy with a low around 44.

3. World AIDS Day 2011 at Cal Lutheran

A panel of local residents will share personal experiences with HIV/AIDS and respond to audience questions from 2-3:50 p.m. Following the panel discussion, a vigil service will be held on the Swenson front entrance patio from 4-4:45 p.m. Resource tables will be set up in the Swenson lobby from 1:30-5 p.m. Admission is free. 4. The Carl Verheyen Band at the Canyon Club

As the creative force behind The Carl Verheyen Band, Verheyen has released an impressive and eclectic discography that showcases his endless talents across a wide array of musical genres. The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20.
