The Triunfo YMCA is holding a "Parents' Night Out," so parents can spend an evening to themselves while YMCA licensed childcare staff supervise their children. Parents Night Out runs from 6-10 p.m. at the YMCA's Willow Elementary School childcare site (29026 Laro Dr). Children will enjoy a pizza dinner and s'mores. 4. Jewish Disabilities Awareness Shabbat
Temple Adat Elohim (2420 E Hillcrest Dr, Thousand Oaks) invites the community to a very special Shabbat to celebrate Jewish Disability Awareness Month at 7:30 pm. Featured speaker is 8-year-old congregant Joshua Goldenberg who will chart his groundbreaking and well-publicized success in bringing braille to grocery stores shelves locally and nationally.
5. Feed the Homeless
New Friends Homeless Center in Woodland Hills feeds the homeless, or any one in need of food, a hot sit down meal every Friday night from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. They also provide music, prayer, hygiene kits, pet food and clothing. For more information, call 818-887-1109.
