Feb. 8: Lindero Jazz Nite; Lifewriting Classes

Take your little one to winter storytime, attend jazz nite at the middle school and learn how to raise decent Jewish kids.

Take your little one to this class at 11 a.m. for stories, music, finger plays and art activities to promote early learning.

Food and drinks will be available as well as a silent auction before the show between 5:30-7:15 pm. Following this portion of the event will be a fabulous jazz concert in the gym. Jazz "B" will be followed by Jazz "A" and culminating with the Matt Finders Celebrity Band comprised of first-call musicians known nationwide. 4. Lifewriting Class

Under the guidance of Louise Cabral you can learn what it takes to write your life story. Lifewriting classes use writing exercises and a small-group writing audience that will not only assist you in writing your life story but will also stimulate your memory and provide you with a new perspective on your own past. The classes are held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the home of Louise Cabral on Wednesday evenings. For directions and more information, call 818-707-0589 or go to the website.

5. Rabbi Kipnes’ Ten Tips for Raising Decent Jewish Teens and Pre-Teens

This interactive presentation will share how to effectively communicate with your kids about sex, drugs, love and more. The program is appropriate for parents or grandparents with children of any age, and for adults working with teens and pre-teens. The class takes place at 6:30 pm at Congregation Or Ami (26115 Mureau Rd. Suite B, Calabasas). RSVP to Karen Moore (Karen@orami.org) or call 818.880.4880. There is no charge to attend.
