Gasoline Prices Fall for 26th Day

It keeps getting cheaper to fill up your tank.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell today for the 26th consecutive day, dropping six-tenths of a cent to $3.642–the lowest amount since Feb. 24.

The average price is 6.9 cents less than one week ago and 22.5 cents
lower than a month ago but 43.9 cents higher than one year ago, according to
figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped 22.4 cents over the past 26 days,
including six-tenths of a cent on Monday.

The decreasing prices are the result of lower demand, which is typical
for the fall, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern
California.
