2. 5th Annual Conejo Valley Community Thanksgiving Dinner

From the Conejo Valley Guide website: "If you have talent to entertain others or have an extra Thanksgiving dinner side dish, your help is needed at the fourth annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner from 12-3 p.m. at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 588 Camino Manzanas, Thousand Oaks. Dinner organizers are also looking for those who would like to eat Thanksgiving dinner with their neighbors. The dinner is free and everybody is welcome. There are even drivers on hand to pick up those who don't have a ride to the church. Just call 805-498-4502 and leave your name, address and phone number."

3. New Friends Homeless Thanksgiving Feast

New Friends Homeless Center (17114 Ventura Blvd, Encino) is providing a Thanksgiving dinner and a show from 1-3 p.m. and plans to feed over 200 homeless people. If you'd like to get involved, you can contact them at 818-887-1109 or miraclemindedministries3.org.

4. Get Your Shopping On

After your Thanksgiving feast, you may want to work off the calories by getting a head start on your holiday shopping. That's right, several local stores like Toys 'R Us and Michaels will be open on Thursday night. .
