Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, who authored such classics as Green Eggs and Ham and The Lorax, would be 108 years old on this day. He died in 1991. Elementary schools in the area are celebrating with individual activities, including firefighters reading to children at .

5. NEXUS Concert at Cal Lutheran

Called the “high priests of the percussion world” by the “New York Times,” Bob Becker, Bill Cahn, Russell Hartenberger and Garry Kvistad comprise what is considered one of the pre­miere percussion ensembles in the world today.
