The City of Agoura Hills has a limited Monthly Hazardous Waste Program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants stage at the City Hall parking lot for item collection. Acceptable items: used oil; oil filters; anti-freeze; car batteries; latex paint (water based only). Unacceptable Items: stains; varnish; enamel paints (oil based), pesticides, household batteries. This event is held the first Saturday of the month, except holidays, and is canceled during rain. There is a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s 108th birthday at the annual Agoura Hills Library Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash at 2 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with the zany Nicole Tibbetts telling her favorite Dr. Seuss stories. 'Green Eggs and Ham' will be served along with other “Seussy” refreshments. Dr. Seuss activities will also be part of the program. This event celebrates “Read Across America.”
4. Open Mic Night at Center Stage Agoura
Sing solo, play with your band, jam with the house band or just sit back and enjoy the music. Open Mic night is free and open to musicians of all ages. If you love music and love to perform, join the fun from 7:30-11 p.m. For more information, call 818-991-3030 or go to the website.
5. Port Chuck Featuring the Stars of 'General Hospital'
Port Chuck is an innovative cover band made up of the most popular actors from ABC’s, General Hospital. The band is comprised of Steve Burton, Scott Reeves, Brandon Barash and Bradford Anderson. This special event takes place at the at 9 p.m. and ticket prices vary.
