Shop locally, help clean up Las Virgenes Creek and check out a new photographic exhibit.

Help out the environment! The clean-up begins at 9 a.m. at Las Virgenes Park, 5622 Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas (located at Las Virgenes Creek on Agoura Road just behind the Starbucks). Wear shoes or boots you don't mind getting wet, and plenty of sunscreen. Garbage bags and gloves provided. For more information , please call 818-224-1600.

3. Kanan Village Holiday Kickoff

Head over to 5017 Kanan Rd. between 12-7 p.m. There will be a DJ and live entertainment, plus raffle prizes donated by Kanan merchants, vendor tables and complimentary holiday goodies! Fun for all ages!

4. AFSP Conejo Valley International Survivors of Suicide Day

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will bring together thousands of people around the world who are bereaved after a suicide loss to share in a day of healing and support through the thirteenth annual International Survivors of Suicide Day program. A Conejo Valley International Survivors of Suicide Day conference will be held at the Thousand Oaks Library (1401 E.  Janss Road, Thousand Oaks) at 9 a.m. The program will also be available online at www.afsp.org.
