SoCal Edison Billing Discrepancy In City Of Agoura Hills
Based on their income, customers may qualify for discounted electricity bills through the CARE or FERA programs.
February 3, 2022
Due to a coordination issue, Southern California Edison (SCE) apologizes for billing error where they inaccurately did not include CPA charges for December 2021. Missed charges were added the the January 2022 billing. Customers’ bills include the December 2021 SCE delivery charge but did not include a CPA generation charge.

The current January 2022 includes both December 2021 and January 2022 CPA generation charges, as well as the January 2022 SCE delivery charge. These do not represent incorrect or duplicate charges.
For clarification the generation portion of the bill (Energy Charge) is used to pay for the electricity itself, while the delivery portion (Minimum Delivery Charge) is used to pay for the transportation of the electricity over CPA's grid and distribution maintenance. Additionally, CPA provided a sample billing sheet to cross reference your December 2021 and January 2022 generation and billing charges.
