Work recently began on the installation of Calimar, a large bronze sculpture slated for the Alameda Point shoreline, near the WETA Central Bay Operations and Maintenance Facility. The artwork, by artist Rossella Scapini, depicts a squid with tentacles working as arches and columns, allowing people to walk between the inner and outer space they create.
