Gas Prices in Alameda, East Bay Rise in Past Month
California's gas prices are the highest in the nation, according to AAA.

Bay Area gas prices jumped seven cents during the last 30 days, according to AAA.
The average monthly price in the Bay Area as of Tuesday was $2.91. San Francisco residents are paying the highest prices in the state at $3.02, up 18 cents from mid-May but down 68 cents from a year ago.
AAA officials said a declining supply and greater demand have contributed to the higher prices.
The average price in Concord jumped nine cents to $2.84 while the price in Oakland jumped eight cents to $2.89.

State prices have also moved higher, but they are stabilizing, according to AAA officials.
Still, they are the highest in the nation. The national average is $2.37. The average price in California is $2.86.
