New Information Technology Director Chosen In Alameda

Demetrius Cagampan brings over 20 years of IT and management experience to the position.​

ALAMEDA, CA — Demetrius Cagampan has been chosen as Alameda's new Information Technology Director.

The IT Director reports to the Assistant City Manager and works closely with all departments and members of the City’s executive team.

“I’m incredibly honored to be named as the City’s new IT Director and look forward to building a strong, innovative IT platform that best serves the City and its residents and businesses,” said Cagampan.

Cagampan has served as the City’s IT Manager for five years, overseeing all aspects of IT operations for the City, and brings over 20 years of IT and management experience to the position.

“Demetrius brings a robust background in IT infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity, in both the private and public sectors, which he will utilize to bolster the capabilities of the City’s IT infrastructure, streamline operations, enhance cybersecurity measures, and support all City operations,” said City Manager Jennifer Ott. “Demetrius is a forward-thinking innovator who is deeply committed to a high level of public service.”
