OAKLAND, CA — A Philadelphia startup is attempting to revive luxurious rail travel across the United States. Next year, it'll be available in the Bay Area, according to a report from the San Francisco Chronicle.

The startup, Lunatrain, has been working since 2024 to bring "innovative" night trains across the United States and Canada, according to the company's website.

Overnight trains are usually too expensive, dated and unreliable, according to the company.

“Our trips offer a chance to travel in ultimate luxury and view the scenery in a way that our passengers have never seen it before," Avena told the Chronicle.
