The workshops are offered to all families and students from pre-school through grade 12.

ALBANY, NY - The Albany USD Black/African-American Family Math Workshop Series is presented to promote engagement and achievement for students in the math classroom.

The workshop series is open to all families and students, pre-school through 12th grade! Workshops are presented on Wednesdays. The schedule is as follows:

November 16, 2016-Math Perseverance

December 14, 2016-Common Core Content

January 11, 2017-Math Advocacy and Resiliency

6:00-6:30 p.m. - Keynote Speaker, Robyn Fisher, Ed. D. of RT Fisher Educational Enterprises, Inc.

Dr. Fisher, a community resource leader, believes that all children can learn if we care enough about them to prepare ourselves to meet them where they are and help them get to where we know they can be.

6:30-7:30 p.m. - Student & parent hands-on workshops by grade level

Workshops are offered at Albany Middle School Library, 1259 Brighton Ave. Light refreshments will be provided.
