The following provides a summary of actions taken by the City Council as part of the special & regular meetings on March 7, 2022:

Closed Session: The Council reported that there was no reportable action.

Request from Community Task Force on Policing: The Council referred the item to staff a request for information and presentation on crisis response options including consideration of the model provided by Community Task Force on Policing.

Electrification Rebate Program Proposal: The Council authorized the creation of an electrification rebate program be budgeted $40,000 this year at a $1500 subsidy for central heating, heat pump HVAC, a $750 subsidy for each wall and/or floor heater replacement with a heat pump, a $1000 subsidy for electrical panel upgrades when necessary for a heat pump installation, and that the subsidy be doubled for low-income residents, and a $500 signing bonus for contractors that register with BayREN.
