Flo Rida To Play Alameda County Fair

Tickets go on sale Friday to see Flo Rida, the rapper famous for songs like "Low," "Whistle," and "Right Round."

PLEASANTON, CA — Time to get low, low, low: Flo Rida is headed to the East Bay, and tickets go on sale Friday.

The famous rapper, who has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, will be playing the Alameda County Fair’s Big O Tires Concert Series July 8, the fair announced.

He joins other big names like the Beach Boys and Too $hort, who will play the fair July 1 and June 25, respectively. “Twist on Taylor,” a Taylor Swift tribute band, will play June 20.

Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Lacel Dillard, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter. His 2007 debut and breakout single “Low” was #1 in the U.S. for ten weeks, and broke the record for digital download sales at the time of its release. His debut 2008 album “Mail on Sunday” reached number 4 in the U.S. He had a slew of international hits in the late 2000s and early 2010s, including “Right Round,” “Club Can’t Handle Me,” “Whistle,” “Wild Ones,” and “My House.”
