ALBANY, CA — Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer and, immediately after, the Albany Library is launching Summer Adventure Awaits at Alameda County Library, a reimagined Summer Reading Game. It will run from June 1 to August 15.

This year’s theme is A Magical Journey, which celebrates the power of imagination and magic in everyday life. Participants will be invited to complete activities, read books, and more to receive a book gift and prize drawing entries.

Everyone is part of the adventure — there will be prize drawings for all ages, and multiple ways to participate.

2023 Summer Adventure provides opportunities for families and people of all ages and abilities to connect over shared experiences of wonder, discovery, and delight. I’m amazed by all the creativity and kindness expressed by our communities! I can‘t wait for what this summer holds,” said County Librarian Cindy Chadwick.
