Bumpy Roads: Aliso Creek Repaved Later this Summer

Correction: The city agreed to pay another $20,000 to the contractor to perform construction during the day. A previous version of this story showed a higher cost.

Residents tired of ruts in Aliso Creek Road will be relieved later this summer. The city will pay about half a million dollars to repave the road from Enterprise to Pacific Park.

The work is scheduled for July 15 to Sept. 6.

The council agreed to pay an additional $20,000 to All American Asphalt to restrict construction to daytime hours, according to the Orange County Register.

The decision to build during the day came out of resident complaints about noisy nighttime work, Mayor Carmen Cave said.

"I think we all heard loudly, as the residents heard loudly, about working in residential areas on projects of this magnitude," Cave said.
