Compass Bible Church hosts Camp Compass this week, from July 8-12.
The camp is broken down into three subgroups: ages 4-kindergarten, 1st-4th grade and 5th and 6th grade. The week is focused on the theme of Biblical truth. Each day, a new Bible verse will be taught, and each day is centered around a different theme.
- Monday: On Monday, campers will be taught from the book of Genesis, chapters 1-3. The theme is that a battle is taking place between God's kingdom and the kingdom of Satan. The message for kids to learn will be, "build a biblical worldview to stand strong in the battle."
- Tuesday: On Tuesday, campers will learn about Jesus the Savior. The biblical truth they will be taught is to "Absolutely trust in absolute truth."
- Wednesday: Campers will learn about King Josiah, who is credited with establishing or compiling Hebrew scriptures. The Biblical truth of the day is "Obey without delay because there's no other way."
- Thursday: King Solomon takes center stage Thursday. He's known for his wealth and wisdom. Campers will be taught to "guard against false teachings and temptations."
- Friday: The theme for this day is to "Speak truth." Campers will be taught to "be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in you."
