Community Corner
Free flu shots Friday
The city will be offering free flu shots at Saddleback College.

Free seasonal flu shots for adults and children 3 and older will be offered at Saddleback College on Friday, October 10 as part of a continuing series of emergency preparedness exercises. Vaccinations are provided on a first-come, first-served basis from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 28000 Marguerite Parkway.
The City of Mission Viejo is sponsoring the event that will offer both drive-through and walk-up flu shot locations. To receive a flu shot, participants should be feeling well and must complete a brief health screening to ensure they can safely receive a flu vaccine.
“This is a great opportunity to partner with the Orange County Health Care Agency and other community partners,” said Emergency Services Manager Paul Catsimanes. “The event will help improve our capabilities to respond to a large-scale event while offering free flu shots to our community.”

Along with the Orange County Health Care Agency, the event would not be possible without community partnerships including the Orange County Sheriff’s Department; Orange County Fire Authority; Doctor’s Ambulance Service; and Saddleback College.
Residents should use the Avery Parkway entrance to the clinic.
