Johnny Rockets Expands Overseas
The Aliso Viejo-based hamburger joint is moving to the world's second-largest city.

Aliso Viejo-based Johnny Rockets has opened their first two stores in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Jakarta is the worlds' second-largest continuous city area, with over 26 million people in the greater Jakarta region.
Having a presence in the nation’s capital and largest city is critical, according to John Fuller, CEO of Johnny Rockets, as is having the Indonesian locations operated by a strong franchise partner.
"As the founder of Indonesia’s tourism board; member family of Sahid Group with holdings in real estate, restaurants and hotels; and head of the Riyanti Investama International Group, Wiryanti Sukamdani knows what it takes to run a successful business," he said. "We couldn’t have asked for a more skilled operator to introduce Johnny Rockets to the more than 23 million residents of greater Jakarta who are looking for a truly American dining experience."
