$20,000 Reward Offered in Altadena Horse Trail Homicide

Marcus Nieto's body was found by two horseback riders on the Altadena Crest Trail in 2013. His death was ruled as a homicide.

ALTADENA, CA - The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday renewed a $20,000 reward in hopes of tracking down the killer of a man whose body was discovered by two riders on horseback on the Altadena Crest Trail in 2013.

Supervisor Michael Antonovich recommended extending the reward -- which was set to expire March 22 -- in an effort to solve the murder of 26-year-old Marcus Nieto.

Nieto was last seen alive at his home on Feb. 15, 2013. Investigators said he went to visit a friend in Pomona, but may have returned to the Covina/Azusa area at some point. His body was found the next day.
