
Altadena Heritage hosted a panel Monday at the Altadena Community Center, hoping to educate the public about local water issues.
The panel included Chris Stone, LA County's Water Resource Manager; Rich Atwater, Chairman of Foothills Municipal Water District (FMWD); Tim Brick of the Arroyo Seco Foundation and former chairman of Metropolitan Water District; and Angela George with the DWP Watershed Management.
The panel spoke about how Altadena residents receive their water, water security and initiatives, as well as local opportunities for management and conservation.

Michele Zack, Altadena Heritage board member, said Altadena Heritage hopes to continue to promote public education on local conservation.
“Even people who want to understand about water are very confused,” said Zack. “We have to start somewhere because we are in a water crisis.”
