Altadena Teen Competing for Spot on Amazon Excursion

Bobby Coleman, a teenage actor from Altadena, is participating in an international competition in the Swiss Alps for a spot on a three-week eco-education expedition to the Amazon Jungle in March.

A teen from Altadena who has acted in several movies and TV programs is participating in an international competition to win a spot on an expedition to the Amazon rainforest.

Bobby Coleman, 14, is currently in Switzerland competing with other teenagers from around the globe in an 11-day contest that will determine who gets to be part of the three-week expedition.

The three-week Amazon expedition will be led by Mike Horn, a South African eco-explorer who started leading expeditions in 2008 "in an effort to empower [youth] with a sense of appreciation, the will to conserve and the unique perspective needed to inspire sustainable action plans for the future."
