Altadena Nursery School Citrus Fundraiser

The Altadena Nursery School is currently holding its 59th annual citrus fundraiser, where the school sells grapefruits and oranges to raise money for student expenses.

Interesed parties can make the purchase or donate at the school's website.  A case of oranges costs $28 and a case of grapefruit costs $21.

The last day to make a purchase is January 22.

The money benefits students by keeping tuition rates lower, according to a school representative, Christine O'Brien.

The school was established in 1950 in northeast Altadena, according to O'Brien, but has been relocated to Pasadena years ago after losing the space where the original school was located.
