Local Dog Needs Home

This miniature poodle is in a difficult situation - his owner, a local senior citizen, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday.

Cookie is a male, around four years old.  He is a pretty easy to handle dog, used to short walks.  He's a little skittish around other animals, but would be perfect for someone who needs a low maintenance pet.

Nobody in the family is planning to take in Cookie, and he may end up in a shelter if nobody wants him.

I've volunteered to try to find him a home, or at the least, a temporary foster.  My own home is occupied by two cats that Cookie does not like at all.

His late owner was a wonderful person who cared about Cookie very much, and we want to make sure he finds a good home.  Please help if you can.  If interested, contact dan.abendschein@patch.com.
