Assemblyman Chris Holden To Hold Backpack Giveaway This Weekend

ALTADENA, CA — The new school year is quickly approaching and, to help students get ready, California Assemblyman Chris Holden will hold a backpack giveaway this Saturday.

Holden has partnered with the Eta Lambda Omega chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority to distribute free backpacks filled with school supplies to children of any age at his district office in Pasadena, from 9 to 11 a.m.

While the backpacks are free, an RSVP is required to pick one up, organizers said. RSVPs can be made by emailing Holden’s office or calling 626-351-1917.

The district office is located at 600 N. Rosemead Blvd., and the giveaway will feature contactless pick-up.
