Bands Announced for New L.A. Folk Festival at Zorthian Ranch
The folk festival for the second straight year is at Altadena's Zorthian Ranch. It will take place on August 4.
Tickets are now on sale for the third annual New Los Angeles Folk Festival, which takes place on August 4 at the Zorthian Ranch, according to the event's Facebook page.
The music festival will be at the Zorthian Ranch for the second straight year - it highlights mostly music bands from the emerging folk movement in Los Angeles and featured nearly 30 acts last August.
Event organizers have announced via Facebook that the following bands will appear:

Beachwood Sparks, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, Spindrift, Tom Brosseau, White Magic, Restavrant, Pisces, Triple Chicken Foot ft Jordan Ruyle, Guy Blakeslee (Entrance), RT n’ the 44s, Leslie Stevens, Emily Lacy, Cowboy and Indian, Tommy Santee Klaws, Sea Of Bees, Domingo Siete, Geronimo Getty, Yellow Red Sparks, Dirt Bird, Kera & the Lesbians, Gwendolyn, Oliwa & the Pleasure Circus, Stripminers, Madame Headdress, Avolcano, Kitchen Hips, Fort King, Dustbowl Revival, David Feuer, Mrs. Hobbs & Ketchup Soup, Jenny Long, Tall Tales & the Silver Lining.
Besides the music, festival organizers also are invite attendees to "dip in the pool, explore the grounds, visit the animals, play around and kick up dust."

The ranch, which is located at the top of Fair Oaks Avenue, was the home of artist Jirayr Zorthian who was reputed to hold wild parties at the location.
