Christmas Tree Lane To Light Up Altadena Through The New Year
Altadena's annual holiday light show has been going on for more than 100 years.

ALTADENA, CA — The lights are once again on in Altadena's Christmas Tree Lane for motorists and pedestrians alike to enjoy.
The lights will be on every night until Jan. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Santa Rosa Avenue, between Woodbury Road and Altadena Drive.
The annual holiday display has been a tradition in the neighborhood for more than 100 years, according to the California Office of Historic Preservation.

"First organized by F.C. Nash in 1920, the 'Mile of Christmas Trees' has been strung with 10,000 lights each holiday season through the efforts of volunteers and the Christmas Tree Lane Association," reads a plaque erected by the office. "It is the oldest large-scale Christmas lighting spectacle in Southern California."
